FAQ

Is this experience right for me?

If you already play rugby and want an advantage over your peers, then you are the right demographic for this clinic.

You do not need to be the best player in the team already; you should want to become the best player you can be in your position through learning and practice.

This program has been designed to be the best rugby clinic on the East Coast for players looking to improve their skills.

Why aren't these full day clinics?

Sessions are challenging, by design. We want participants to be rested to perform at their best.

Short high-intensity sessions are the best length of time for instructors to teach, players to practice new skills, and to avoid becoming overly tired or distracted.

Fatigue results in subpar performances, which in turn can lead to injuries.

What health and safety will you have - will this be safe rugby training?

We will have qualified sports trainers on-site throughout the whole time players are training.

Each age group will be assigned a dedicated trainer for the duration of their time with NXT Rugby.

We will have the latest tackle shields and mats, jackal bags and game protection for use by the participants.

What is the player-coach ratio?

There will be 1 coach for every 7 players in attendance.

This will allow for personal attention for each participant to provide maximum benefit for their learning and improvement.

There will be instant video footage available of players to visualize their technique and understand how to improve their positional and mechanical form.

Is there food available?

Food and drinks are available for purchase at each location from the facility owners.

Is this a stayover?

No. You arrive, you learn, you return home to rest & recover for the next day. If you need details on nearby accommodation to any of our clinics, please reach out to contact@nxt.rugby

Can I cancel?

Yes. There is a cancellation charge of $100 if you change your mind for any reason after enrollment; pre-registration carries no cost.

As spaces are very limited and demand is expected to be high, it may be more prudent to move your booking to the next available clinic rather than seek a refund.

In either case, please send an email to contact@nxt.rugby if you wish to start the process.

Cancellation prior to 30 days before clinic receives a 100% refund (minus $100 charge).

If you cancel less than 30 days before clinic, you will receive a 50% refund (minus $100 charge).

Any cancellations due to injuries will need relevant medical documents and will receive a 100% refund at any time (minus $100 charge).

Why are the clinics indoors?

We run our winter clinics indoors, the domes we use are climate-controlled, so weather will not be a concern.

This makes for more productive training and coordination when executing the program.

What do I bring?

Cleats for the summer clinics, trainers for the winter events. A water bottle, mouthguard, towel and snacks.

You will need to make a one-off purchase of our training gear a minimum of 3 weeks prior to your first clinic. We source these direct from the manufacturers to ensure the lowest prices, there are personal branding options available at no extra charge and can be worn at ANY future clinic.

Will this help me improve my tackling?

How to improve tackling technique in age-grade rugby is one of the particular areas of focus we cover.

We will have state-of-the-art tackle bags, shields, mats and body protection to provide a safe environment for players to perfect the right mechanics around this skill.
